INTERNATIONAL VERSIONS

CLASS OF 77, although originally an Australian show, adapts wonderfully well to an overseas audience.

The U.K, NZ and U.S.A versions have been changed to reflect local language, culture and expressions. The major differences are...

  • REPLACEMENT OF AUSTRALIAN PLACE NAMES WITH LOCALISED SETTINGS (eg: The U.K version is set in a regional English town, with Jenny looking at attending Uni in London)
  • SUBSTITUION OF SLANG TERMS WITH MORE APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE (eg: The word "Dork" becomes "Nerd" in the U.S version)
  • As the Holden Torana is purely an Australian car this is replaced in the scene and the song with "Camaro" for the U.S.A and "Cortina" in the U.K.

The basic structure, characters and music of the show remains unchanged.
